For the Fondant Decorations:

Store-bought or Homemade White Fondant
Edible Markers or Food Coloring (Silver/Gray, Gold)

Preparation Steps:

1 – Prepare the Cake:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour three 8-inch round cake pans.
Mix Dry Ingredients: Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.

Combine Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and lemon zest.
Combine Mixtures: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Fold in blueberries.
Divide and Bake: Divide the batter evenly among the prepared pans. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool completely.

2 – Make the Buttercream Frosting:
Beat Butter: Until creamy, about 2 minutes.
Add Powdered Sugar: Gradually, beating until smooth and creamy.
Add Vanilla and Milk: To achieve the desired consistency and flavor.
Color Gradient (Optional): Divide frosting into three parts. Color each with a gradient of blue food coloring (from dark to light).

3- Assemble and Frost the Cake:
Level Cakes: If necessary.
Stack with Frosting: Creating a layer cake with the darkest blue frosting at the bottom (if using gradient effect).
Final Frosting Layer: Cover the entire cake with the lightest shade of blue frosting for a uniform base.
Smooth and Chill: Smooth the frosting and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

4- Decorate:
Fondant Clock: Color a small piece of fondant with silver/gray food coloring. Use the clock stencil to cut out the shape. Add gold details with edible markers.
Apply Fondant Decorations: Gently place the clock at the top of the cake, slightly off-center for a whimsical touch.
Edible Gold Dust and Silver Sprinkles: Dust the top and sides lightly with gold dust and sprinkle with silver sprinkles to resemble the night sky transitioning to dawn.
Final Touches: Ensure all elements are secure and in place.

5 – Serve:
Slice and Serve: Just before midnight, slice the cake, and as the clock strikes twelve, enjoy the first bites of the New Year together!
